Dickins calls, call on Dickins 6.2.1805 / 9.2.1805 call on Dickins adv Eustace / 17.3.1805 Dickins calls / 20.7.1805 seek Dickins (pro Arnot)

Because John Arnot's siter Lilias married Asbury Dickins of Philadelphia on 31.10.1803 and the 1805 entry was "pro Arnot" this Dickins was probably him. He took advantage of the relief of insolvent debtors in the Kings Bench Prison in 1806 (Morning Post 28.7.1806) so that was maybe where he was when Godwin sought him in 1805. In Holdens 1811 he was listed as the Chancellor to the American Consul, and in Cobbett's Register of 30.11.1833 William Cobbett DNB 1763-1835 recalled how he had spoken to Asbury Dickins on the day of his release from Newgate in 1812. An alternative possibility may have been Richard Dickens or Dickins grocer of 19 Charlton St Somers Town (Sun Fire 1809). See Arnot & see Eustace
