The first two entries above referred to Godwin's friend Ralph Fell who'd been arrested for debt. Three of the Laver family were officers of Giltspur St Compter, William of 1-9 Chancery Lane, Joseph of Took's Court Cursitor St and Benjamin of 92 Chancery Lane, the last two kept safe custody houses.
