HCR diary 2.3.1821 Robinson (by letter?) desired Pickford "to tell Thibaut that Aders will procure his musick for him"
John Middleton Pickford married 22.6.1802 Sara Friedericke Schunk, sister of Martin Schunk 1789-1873, Robinson attended the wedding (Marquardt I p36 n52). Pickford moved to Heidelberg before 1819. John Middleton Pickford bapt 29.11.1779 Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire son of Cornelius Pickford linen draper & mercer of Chapel-en-le-Frith who had married Isabella Sedgwick at Manchester Cathedral 16.2.1779, his will 1803. Cornelius Pickford was born 1754 son of Cornelius Pickford born 1719 who was apprenticed as an ironmonger 1737, his wil 1777, son of Cornelius Pickford born 1684 who married Christian Ridgway in 1707, all these at Chapel en le Frith. Pickford's brother in law Carl Cornelius Souchay was born 1768 son of John Daniel Souchay (1736-1811) minister of French Reformed Church in Frankfurt. The name Cornelius may be a cincidence or may suggest some earlier interaction of the Souchays with the Pickfords of Chapel en le Frith
