HCR diary 30.4.1822  "to Aders - it being Ellen's birthday. The Cardons were there and Mr & Mrs Reece and some young men"

                    19.5.1822 to Aders "only the Reeces there and a little musick"

                  31.10.1822 "to Aders. I found the Reeces and a small party there"

letter from S T Coleridge to Mrs Aders 23.3.1833 "That Mr R. is Your's & Mr Aders' Friend had been enough; but besides this I should feel gratified by any oportunity in my power of proving my sense of Mr Rees' own Merits, and of thanking him for the high & unusual delight, I received from him on that never-to-be-forgotten evening" The evening was 21.12.1822 at the Aders. Ries had apparently asked if Coleridge would make him an English translation of a poem by Schiller

HCR diary 5.4.1823 "went to a musical party and supper at Aders'. This party I had made for them. Wordsworth, Monkhouse and the ladies, the Flaxmans, Rogers, Coleridge, Mr & Mrs Gilman were my friends. Besides, the Reeces and other musical party"

                    6.7.1824 "by invitation to Aders - their wedding day - A small party - Coleridge, Riese for the last time etc"

Ferdinand Ries 1784-1838 see wikipedia. He was in England from 1813 to 1824. Ferdinand Ries Esq otp bach = St Marylebone 25.7.1814 Harriet sp minor with consent of father Pierre Mangeon Esq wits F C Meyer. Mannetta Mangeon. Harriot Mangeon born 5.12.1796 bapt 5.1.1797 St George Han Sq of Peter & Catherine Elizabeth (nee Rumble his 2nd wife he had married at St Martin i t Fields 29.1.1791). Peter Mangeon bur Kennington 20.6.1816 age 76 will PCC 1816. Ferdinand & Harriet Ries bapt two daus in London, Fanny Annette born 6.5.1819 bapt 9.6.1819 St Marylebone, Emily Hannah born 10.9.1820 bapt 11.10.1820 St Marylebone. Their dau Eleonora was bapt & bur in Germany. Note that F C Meyer Mrs Aders 2nd husband was a witness at Ries' wedding
