Joseph Baskervile Stafford was the easier one  to trace. His grandfather Richard Stafford will PCC 10.3.1726 of Bristol merchant dated 12.11.1723 mentioned his wife Mary nee Andrews, his first wife Elizabeth and his deceased son Richard by her, his sons John & Arthur, his dau Elizabeth wife of Francis Vigor of Bristol woollen draper, his sister Mary, his brother in law James Parrott. Richard's children's births are recorded at the Bristol Quaker meeting. His son John Stafford clothier of Bradford, Wilts took an appr 1736. His will PCC 25.6.1783 John Stafford of Winchester St Maurice dated 21.8.1780 mentioned his children Richard, Joseph, John, Sarah, Love, and Mary wife of John Wintle and Rachel wife of James Elliot. The will PCC 9.3.1790 of Susanna Stafford spinster of Bristol (who died 6.1.1790 aged 84) dated 22.7.1789 mentioned her nephews Joseph Baskerville & John Stafford, her nephew Richard Stafford & his wife Mary, her nieces Mary Wintle and Love Stafford, her great nieces daus of late niece Rachel Elliot, and her sister Ann (who left a similar will shortly after).
