Not to be confused with Voisey of 1811 & 1812 who was mentioned also in Bodleian Abinger c42 f53 and has been wrongly transcribed as Volsey there. This person was first mentioned as Me Volsey so was probably female, married or widowed, and French, which also fits with the company of Mercier and Louisa Holcroft (nee Mercier). The association with the bachelor James Wollstonecraft suggests a possible courtship or affair. The name was rare in England, see work notes below for the only two instances I found near the relevant period
