He was perhaps the Thomas Northcote son of Joseph of Newbury who matric. Oxford 1763 age 36. He spent some years as a chaplain in India but didn't appear in any Army Lists (full of half pay) despite calling himself a Chaplain in the Royal Artillery on his book title pages. 14.9.1802 to 18.9.1802 and 24.9.1803 to 11.10.1803 should have not in London tag. NOW CORRECTED on GD website but 17.7.1821 to 20.7.1821 should also have this tag

Nunnis being a rare to nonexistent surname was probably Godwin's mistake for Nunnick on first hearing

A very rare name spelt thus, only appeared once in Godwin's diary, so who was Nutton senior? Often spelt Nutting, as when James Nutton widower of Shoreditch married Sarah Bedson widow there 20.5.1804 he signed his name Nutting, a much commoner name

For the first two entries above perhaps Capt Gregory O'Byrne of 15th dragoons, Irish gamester 1779 (Walpole Correspondence 25:12) of 84 Pall Mall 1792 of 31 Clarges St 1799, in Paris 1802 and seized at English Customs for bringing back wine (see Morning Post 29.12.1801, 21.4.1802, 13.12.1802).
