Although filed among other LCS division lists in Nat Arch this was possibly not a division of LCS but a democrat club associated with the City Artillery Company. See Thale p168 for spy Metcalfe's conversation with William Worship on 19.5.1794, three days after Worship joined this list. Those members whose professions I identified are all of a somewhat higher social standing than most LCS members. There is a separate entry for each name below (titled by surname)

Upshaw

Upshaw calls 14.8.1803

Only appeared once in Godwin's diary and didn't get to see Godwin then. Morning Post 14.8.1803 Cork and Upshaw, Americans prosecuted for a challenge to a duel to Mr Askew (the son of Sir Edward Askew) after he nudged Upshaw off a crowded bench in the lecture room of St Thomas' Hospital. Website upshawfamilyjournal.com is a good source for Upshaws in Virginia and nearby states. This looks likely to have been Dr William Upshaw born 1782 of Richmond Virginia who became surgeon to 5th Regiment of Infantry and was involved in duels in 1805 and 1810 and died 31.8.…

HCR diary 3.1.1833 "Upton, Aders' attorney"

                    4.1.1833 "broken in upon by Jameson and his attorney (Upton)" Loevenhagen had had Aders arrested because he had heard he was about to leave the country and his "further excuse was the unintelligible letters which A: wrote. Upton having read A's letters to him, [he] admitted that had he at first received such a letter he would have been satisfied"
