William Abbott New Inn subscr to Poems by late S M Oram 1794.side clerk in Abel Jenkins' division, Exchequer Office of Pleas 1796, became member of Society of Antiquaries 9.5.1793 same day as John Farr Abbot of Lincolns Inn Fields who died 1794 and was elder brother to Charles Abbot DNB 1757-1829 MP (probably too much identified with Pitt's govt & repression of sedition to be in Godwin's circles) but no William Abbott mentioned in John Farr Abbot's will
