John Augustus Bonney of Percy Street, Rathbone Place proposed 8,4.1791 by John Frost 2nded Joseph Adams. Born 1763 youngest son of Thomas Bonney rector of Ockham, Surrey 1710-1764 (son of Charles Bonney d.1744 woolstapler of Reading and his wife Elizabeth nee Armington d.1756) and Grace d.1776 dau of Chrstopher Key, receiver-general. Apprenticed 31.3.1779 to John Frost (DNB 1750-1842) attorney of St Pancras for 5 yrs premium £200. Married 23.9.1787 St Pancras Mary Johnson widow, wits Charles Tomkins, Tom Hague. She was probably born Mary Hague about 1762, had a daughter Mary by her first husband, and she was buried 23.2.1804 at St Giles Camberwell. Bonney was declared bankrupt in 1800 as a money-scrivener of Percy St, Rathbone Place. He married 2ndly as widower of Grays Inn Elizabeth Taylor sp of St Marylebone at St Andrew Holborn 12.7.1804 wits Mary Ann Bramwell & Maria Sophia Taylor. Their children Augusta Jane born 6.5.1802, (note she was baptised as dau of Elizabeth before Mary Bonney died) Francis Augustus Burdett 1804-1877 Augusta born 2.4.1805 William Wolfe 1806-1883 Clementina born 12.11.1808 Thomas born 4.5.1813. He died 30.12.1813 and was buried 5.1.1814 at St James Piccadilly.
