Elizabeth Croft ratebooks 3 Poland St 1787-8. The will PCC 1797 of Mary Allsopp of Leicester made her goddaughter Elizabeth Croft executrix and residuary legatee dated 27.9.1796 with a note "send to Mrs Chawner 10 Hart St Bloomsbury to tell Elizabeth Croft she is my executor". She was perhaps daughter of Herbert (?) Croft who married Miss Chawner 1769. Mary Allsopp was the widow of Andrew Allsopp upholder of 28 Bedford St Covent garden who retired 1786 (ad) and left will PCC 1795. He had married Mary Eaton widow otp at Richmond Surrey 2.5.1778
