John Frank Newton was born in St Christopher's West indies, and the will PCC 1776 of John White of St Christopher's now of Chichester mentions his sister Mrs Jane Bennett widow, her son Henry BennettĀ and her grandson William Croke of St Christopher's. there was a William Croke attorney of Kings bench at Plow Court, Fetter Lane from 1766. Two children of hima nd his wife sarah were baptised at St Andrews Holborn, Amrocius Charles in 1773 and Sarah Ambrosia in 1778. William Croke jr attorney took an apprentice in 1791 and was in 1800 at 13 Red Lion St, Clerkenwell. In 1795 a William Croke insured 27 Colebrook Row islington (Sun F). William Croke the younger of St James Clerkenwell bach = by lic 25.4.1811 St Andrew Enfield Charlotte Williams otp sp. In 1813 Wm Croke was Sir Francis Burdett's solicitor and wrote to Sir James Langham about Sir Charles Langham's will. William Croke of Red Lion St Clerkenwell was buried 8.1.1814 age 51 at Tottenham
