The above entries are all those that probably referred to Curran's immediate family which did not clearly apply to either J P Curran himself, W H Curran or Amelia Curran each of whom has a person record on the GD website. The children of John Philpot Curran DNB 1750-1817 (married Sarah Creagh in 1774 her will PCC 1844) as far as I can establish were 1) Amelia Curran DNB 1775-1847 has person record in GD website 2) Richard Creagh Curran Dict Irish Biog 1776-1847 (his will PCC 1847 dated 8.10.1812) he married 31.7.1810 St Geo Han Sq Jacobina (nee Henderson widow of Rev Thomas Wigsell) her will PCC 1850 3) John Bartholomew Hoare Curran (b 1784) Lt RN 1806 Cdr 1811 Capt 1816 died Edinburgh Aug 1832 the John Curran and Capt Curran entries above were probably him, the J B Curran ones certainly were 4) James born 1787 - in Irish treason trials 1803 a James Curran was named as agent for the prisoner Martin Burke 29.8.1803 Morning Post. but that was probably Curran's attorney brother, (see L Hale, John Philpot Curran p87) Curran's brother James married the daughter of John Bury of Rathmines Dublin May 1791. Curran's son James was perhaps Lt in Bengal Native Infantry d.1815 5) Sarah Curran Dict Irish Biog 1782-1808 6) Gertrude 1780-1792 see her father's entry in Dict Irish Biog 7) Eliza Odella (born 1779) also known as Jane who married James Taylor rector of Clifton Glos his will PCC 1847 she died 5.2.1863 Cheltenham. The Taylors entries above in 1808 and 1817 have been (probably wrongly) coded on GD website either to John Taylor or Richard Taylor. Newspaper reports of Curran's death mentioned the presence of his daughter mrs Taylor at his bedside 8) William Henry has person record in GD website. By N A Fitzgerald (her letter to Godwin Bodleian Abinger c7 f32-3) widow of John Fitzgerald of Tipperary (L Hale op cit p267) 9) a girl who survived infancy but not mentioned in her father's will, as the two following 'nephews' were 10) John Philpot Curran Trin Coll Dublin 1819 age 21 died 1862? 11) Henry Grattan Fitzgerald (changed name to Curran) Dict Irish Biog 1800-1876. See my entries for Strafford & Leland, and for Fitzgerald
