SUGGESTED ADDITION <For several years from 1807 under the name of 'Thomas Scrutiny' he produced prints for 'The Satirist' edited by *George Manners*.>

SUGGESTED CHANGE <He may have been the Samuel de Wilde who married Sophia Stevens at St James Clerkenwell on 26 April 1772, and had two daughters and a son Samuel c.1779-1845, who became a trumpeter and servant to Captain *Charles Rowley* of the Royal Navy and was admitted to Greenwich Hospital in 1838. Samuel the artist later had a partner called Eleanor and they had two children, Louisa Harriet (1801-1885) and George James De Wilde (see below). With his next partner Christiana Martha (1778-1862) he had seven children, Frederick Augustus (b.1807) who was an ironmonger in St Pancras in the 1841 census, Henry (1809-1810), Caroline (b.1811) who was an annuitant in Leicester in the 1851 census, Henry John (born c.1814) who was an upholsterer in London in the 1851 and 1861 censuses, Juliana (b.1817) who was a childrens' nurse in the 1851 and 1861 censuses, Gertrude Antonia (b.1820), and Clara (b.1823) who was baptised at St Michael Highgate on 6 October 1839 as daughter of Samuel De Wilde artist, and was living with her recently widowed half brother George James De Wilde (1804-1871) at Hornsey in the 1841 census.>
