mrs Dixon may have been the mistress of John Philpot Curran DNB 1750-1817 or his friend and neighbour in Brompton. The Dixon of 1797 at Johnson's and that of 1807 at Philips's was likely a different person (or two), but the plain Dixon at the lecture with Curran in 1817 and in calls of 1817, 1819, 1825 & 1828 could have been mrs Dixon. Godwin didn't note her at Curran's deathbed or funeral but there were 6 calls in the year or so after his death
