HCR diary 29.12.1821 "Evening at Aders - the Masqueriers, Jenkins and a Mr & Mrs Dubusson were there - musick and engravings produced"

I found two or three possible couples. Thomas Du Buisson of Lawrence Pountney Lane merchant died 1843 at Newcastle upon Tyne age 65, his will PCC 1843. His father Peter will PCC 1813 of Glynhir, Carmarthenshire) had married Margaret Birt on 2.6.1775 at Newland, Gloucestershire, and he married Elizabeth Birt on 23.10.1809 also at Newland. In the 1841 census they were both living at Wandsworth Common.

Jean Abraham Du Buisson baptised 11.7.1749 of Jean & Suzanne at Leicester Fields French Protestant. He married at St Andrew Holborn 13.8.1775 Louisa Maria Dunant of St Dunstan i t West. Their children were born between 1776 and 1792. Jean Abraham was declared bankrupt with his partner Havilland Le Mesurier in 1793. He was an executor of the will (PCC 1816) of Benjamin D'Israeli (1730-1816) father of Isaac D'Israeli (DNB 1766-1848). J D A Dubuisson was listed in an 1822 directory as stockbroker of 5 Sweetings Alley Cornhill and a J A Dubuisson paid Land Tax at Newington Place up to 1830, and a Miss E Dubuisson of Newington Place exhibited paintings at the Royal Academy from 50 Newington Place between 1809 and 1826, then from 1829 from 29 Cockspur St. She was probably their youngest daughter Elizabeth who was born 15.8.1792 and baptised 3.10.1792 at St Michael, Cornhill. However I could find no record of the death of John Abraham or his wife. Their son Lewis born 1786 at Le Havre and died 30.12.1837 age 52, had married Ann Halson on 24.10.1812 at St James Piccadilly. They baptised two children at Lambeth in 1813 and 1815 when he was described as a stockbroker of Spencer Place, Kennington. On 27.4.1838 (after his death) two of his daughters by Margarett, born 29.8.1821 and 8.2.1823, were baptised at St Peter Walworth.

There was also a William C Dubisson, who exhibited two miniature portraits at the Royal Academy in 1821. In the 1841 census he was at Newbold St, Leamington Spa with Eliza Dubisson and in the 1851 census he was a visitor at 25 London Rd, Derby, age 66, married, born Dublin, artist portrait and landscape
