The F on 18.2.1800 should surely be coded to Ralph Fell. For Ralph Fell's marriage see Karre, Sarah and Godwin, Hannah. Ralph Fell was baptised 6.1.1777 son of Joseph at Newcastle and buried at St Giles Camberwell on 4.3.1814 aged 37 years. His father married 20.4.1764 at South Shields Dorothy Blackiston, their other children baptised at Newcastle were Mary 1767, Dorothy 1769, Joseph 1771, William 1773, Hannah 1774. Mothers' names were not given in the baptism register but the use of her name Dorothy for the third child is a fairly good identifier. Joseph Fell ropemaker of Whitby bankrupt March 1804 was probably Ralph's older brother or his father, see letter from Ralph Fell to Godwin from Whitby dated 8.7.1801 (Bodleian Abinger c7 f47-8). If Richard Fell was a brother of Ralph as well I haven't found his baptism, but children of a Richard Fell born Newcastle were baptised at South Shields in 1805 and 1808, mother Mary Milner. Ralph may have been named after Ralph Fell who died Newcastle 1775 aged 93, former Lieutenant in Scots Fusiliers and customs officer at Newcastle till 1770. There may be relevant wills at York but this currently requires a visit to Borthwick Institute there or to the Society of Genealogists in London even to consult the indexes.
