Edward Whitaker Gray MD, DNB 1748-1806 was keeper of the natural history collection at the British Museum from 1791to 1806 and was probably the Gray of 1802 to 1805 above. Frances (nee Wade) 1738-1801 in Samuel Gray DNB 1739-1771 may have been the Mrs Gray at Nicholson's in 1801and her son Samuel Frederick Gray DNB 1766-1828 could have been the Gray of 1813. James Gray DNB 1770? - 1813 was probably the Gray in Edinburgh in 1816, see his DNB article where his second wife is said to have been a good friend of Agnes McLehose DNB 1758-1841, known as Clarinda after Robert Burns' name for her.
