GODWIN DIARY Hague 27.2.1803 at Horne Tooke's, & return with him

Thomas Hague was articled to John Augustus Bonney on 7.6.1788 for 5 years at a small premium of 5/-. Bonney had married Hague's sister Mary (a widow Mrs Johnson) at St Pancras 23.9.1787. Thomas Hague married Hellen Morris at St Martin i t Fields in 1788. When Bonney was in prison awaiting trial for treason in 1794 Hague ran his solicitor's business for him, he later set up as a solicitor himself. He was listed at Cannon Row in the 1796 and 1802 Westminster elections and only voted in 1796 - for Gardner against Tooke. On 31.3.1804 Thomas Hague money scrivener of Cannon Row was declared bankrupt. Charles Tomkins DNB 1757-1823 painter had married Hague's sister AnneĀ  (of Hammersmith) at St Marylebone 11.7.1782 and was listed as bankrupt in November 1800, printseller of Kensington, his attorney was Thomas Hague
