Burke's Family Records (Gale) says he was eldest son of John Hale Esq of Kensington and married 4.6.1793 Isabella Gale of Whitehaven, Cumberland. A John & Isabella Hale baptised a son William at Liverpool 1812, and John Monckton Hale of Bishopsgate London was buried at Lewisham, Kent 9.5.1834 age 59
