See GD website person record for Francis Rawdon Hastings, 1st Earl Moira and his DNB entry 1754-1826. Godwin noted calling on Moira twice in Ireland in 1800 (which could possibly mean his mother Lady Moira who, unlike him, appeared in Godwin's 1796 list and whose death Godwin noted as Countess of Moira in 1808) but noted Lord Moira's death in 1826 as Hastings. Moira also appeared in brackets with Byron & Rogers at Coleridge's lecture on 20.1.1812. Colonel Hastings is probably Charles Hastings 1753-1823 illegitimate son of Francis 10th Earl of Huntingdon (brother of Lady Moira). Col Hastings was a steward along with Col Twentyman at Fox's election anniversary on 10.10.1794. He was of 17 Hertford St 1792, of 50 Harley St 1799, his will PCC 1823 of Willesley Hall, Derbyshire. Then there was also Thomas Hastings DNB 1741-1801 Whig pamphleteer but not an aristocrat. The Hastings who called in 1796 and then met Godwin twice at Debrett's could have been any of those three
