Robert Finch Newman bapt St Sepulchre son of John & Charlotte 1792 died 3.12.1839 Brighton will PCC 1840 Surveypr of Bridge Lands 1819 City Solicitor 1834 succeeding W Lewis Newman PCC 1834 and Samuel Newman PCC 1818 or 1819. John Godwin's employer was barrister Thomas Finch PCC 1810. Newgate and Guildhall being identifiers I haven't yet investigated, though Guildhall likely referred to the City Solicitor or Surveyor of Bridge Lands.
