Richard Earle Welby baptised 3.11.1755 Welbourn, Lincs, son of Richard, and married 17.8.1799 at St Anne Soho Mary Leece, and was buried 10.5.1828 St Marylebone age 72 of Bentinck St, PCC will 1828. He was a cousin of William Earle Welby who was more closely related to Northmore and therefore more likely the Welby of 1800 and 1801. The Welby of 1795 might be either.
Thomas Northmore DNB 1776-1851 had married Penelope 1769-1792 dau of William Earle Welby Hist of Parl ?1734-1815 and sister of William Earle Welby Hist of Parl 1768-1852, father and son were both MPs for Grantham, not radicals though the son went over to the Whigs 1807. W E Welby senior's mother was sister to Montague Cholmeley, and a Cholmley was also at Northmore's on 31.10.1800, so these may have been the relatives of Northmore's motherless son
