Two of the very few SCI members who were also active in the London Corresponding Society, which both had joined by October 1793 (Nat Arch TS11/963 f317 Privy Council interrogation of George Williams who admitted he sublet the room at Beaufort Buildings to John Thelwall for his lectures. also TS11/957/3502. He joined Div 2 in Oct 1793, went with Charles Sinclair, his brother had already joined). George Williams 60 Smithfield in list of Div 11 LCS 13.2.1794 (Nat Arch PC 1/23/38) The entries in Godwin Diary with J, G or LF (Leicester Fields?) and all the ones at Tooke's seem very likely to refer to these brothers, some of the other entries like at King's and at Crown & Anchor could be them or another Williams (David for example)

John W of Leicester Fields witness list for treason trials 1794. Williams, Mitchell & Henry wine merchants Leicester Fields. He married Katherine eldest daughter of Lt Gen John Archer of Henfield (will PCC 1799 in which he granted his son-in-law two bonds in possession of Mr Reader counsellor and remembered his 'much loved companion esteemed friend & faithful servant Mrs Ann Adams spinster'). Archer and Williams were mentioned in Horne Tooke's prison diary (see Notes & Queries)
