Committed to Newgate for a misdemeanour by Lord Kenyon Sept 1798, age 35 dark complexion 5ft4 born St Giles bookseller, tried Kings Bench 11.1.1799 sentenced to 1 year in Clerkenwell House of Correction. Born c. 1762 or 1764 St Giles in the Fields son of John Jordan, citizen & Leatherseller of London (son of John J appr 1749 to Stephen James). Married 19.12.1790 St James Clerkenwell to Elizabeth Munday widow of St Giles Cripplegate, 2ndly 25.11.1811 St Pancras to Christiana Clarke widow. Bookseller of Strand voted Paull 1806. Buried 9.3.1828 St James Pentonville from Kings Row age 64 by John Ayn MA.
