Abbé Nicolas de Macarthy 1769-1833 born in Ireland, was a (reluctant?) Jesuit at Toulouse. His father Count Justin Maccarthy - Reagh 1744-1811 a famous book collector. Maybe all the entries above were the Abbé, or maybe only those that specified Abbé. If the latter, was the plain Macarthy his father? Or perhaps Felix Macarthy who appeared 6 times in Godwin's Diary from 1794 to 1796 - if he was still alive? Or another Macarthy?
