See also Mercier, B which could have been the same person. Elizabeth Benigna Mercier = Daniel Dowling 1814 St Pancras. Dowling was an Irish schoolmaster and author of books on mathematics. He was bankrupt at Devonshire-st Queen-sq in 1813, then master of Mansion House Academy, Highgate till 1818, moved to Upper Mall Hammersmith, and to Dublin by 1838. Their daughter Fanny Elizabeth died 1828 age 13. Charles Hutton son of Daniel & Elizabeth Dowling bapt St Pancras 1822. Her second entry above is the eve of Louisa Mercier's wedding to Holcroft.
