On 15.10.1792 at Bermondsey St Mary Magdalen Andrew Staley bach = Elizabeth Davey sp botp by license. On 26.3.1805 at St Pancras Andrew Staley bach = Elizabeth Davey sp botp by banns. And on 15.8.1810 at St Pancras Andrew Staley widower = Elizabeth Mehrer widow botp by banns. Anne Sainthill Staley was bapt 2.12.1792 St James dau of Andrew & Elizabeth, they baptised a son Andrew there in 1794 who was buried there the same year, and baptised another son Andrew there in 1798 who proved his mother's will in 1838. Note the phrasing in Andrew Staley's will, "my wife's son". Elizabeth Rowe, whose relationship to Andrew Staley was not stated in his will, was born Elizabeth Staley and married Daniel Charles Fabian at Holborn on 1.7.1783 bach & sp botp by lic. Fabian was an attorney, his will PCC 1794. Elizabeth Fabian widow of Poland St married George Rowe in 1795 (news) George Rowe = St James 11.7.1795 Elizabeth Fabian by Archbishop's license wits Andrew Staley, William Massey, Cath Davey, Mary Ann Maton, Mary Fanshawe. Elizabeth Rowe could have been Andrew Staley's daughter by a first marriage - and the father of Anne Sainthill Staley could have been Andrew Staley's son whose widow married 2ndly Mehrer and 3rdly her first husband's father, but that is only one way of making sense of these records.
