sup at Ipswich: coach with King, Waterhouse & capitaine 11.9.1805
William Waterhouse at the Swan with Two Necks Lad Lane, London was a stagecoach proprietor (Morning Chronicle 24.11.1800, Holdens 1811, Caledonian Mercury 24.8.1818). John Waterhouse of Ipswich was presumably his relation and was named in a newspaper of 1807 as the victim of a theft, and in 1826 as selling off "superspeed" horses that had served on the Norwich Mail & Yarmouth Telegraph. He appeared in the 1841 census at Tavern St Ipswich as a coach proprietor age 65, also in an 1844 directory there. His will PCC 1848 gent of Ipswich. A Joseph Waterhouse Esq died 16.11.1849 near Ipswich. The King in the entry above is coded on GD website to John King DNB c1753-1824 but this is probably wrong as King was on the continent at the time.
