In Godwin's 1796 list for 1773 added in smaller letters, not in 1794 version / 18.12.1797 Gregson at Chandler's
According to the Surman Index an A Gregson studied at Hoxton from 1773 and his career began at Highgate 1778, according to the Dissenting Academies Database the Presbyterian Fund Board paid £12 for Abraham Gregson at Hoxton to Midsummer 1778. Abraham Gregson was buried at Bunhill Fields 11.3.1779. Moses Gregson was minister at Rothwell Northants 148-88 his will PCC 1789. Abraham Gregson son of Moses was baptised at Rowell Nothants 1753. It may be that Gregson was added to the 1796 list because the Gregson at Chandler's in 1797 had jogged his memory. In Godwin's autobiographical notes (Bodleian microfilm Duke MF 75) he wrote "Hoxton second course of misery Gregson GCMorgan Walters L Brown Heap Marshal" and on a later line "tormenting scene of Gregson - write Falkland". The Surman Index has William Walters Hoxton 1773, John Heap Hoxton (no date), has no L Brown, and for James Marshall has Hoxton (no date), career Yeovil Somerset 1778-1781. Heap may have been the son of John Heap dissenting minister of Chichester Sussex will PCC 1792
