At least four printers called Wilson were active in London in 1807. 1) William Wilson 16 St Peters Hill (SunFire 1808). Son of William Wilson cabinet maker of St Gregorys London will PCC 2.10.1789. At 8 Ave Maria-lane Ludgate-hill (SunFire 1790). His will PCC 12.1.1815 mentioned wife Mary, brother John Wetherell Wilson carver of Dublin and brother Rev Harry Bristow Wilson master at Merchant Taylors school. 2) William Wilson, Union Printing Office, 14 Jerusalem-passage, 21 St Johns-sq 1806-1810 (BBTI) 3) Andrew Wilson stereotype founder 12 Duke-st, St Giles-i-t-Fields printers notices 1804 (BBTI has 12 Duke-st Camden-town) printed Argus 1793-4 4) Effingham Wilson (clearly named later in Godwin diary from 1830) bapt Kirkby Ravensworth Yorks 4.12.1785 son of Joseph Wilson of Clothiers Co., London & Jane. He married 23.7.1804 at St Bart the Less, London Martha Hunt, their first child Martha bapt 1804 from Leonard-sq, Shoreditch. Land Tax 1805 at Paternoster Row. From 1807 at Chapter House-court, 88 Cornhill (BBTI). He died 1868 his will proved under £4000. He was also a bookseller so could have been the entries below.
