14.12.1807 tea at Philips's w. Brancomb

A rare name, the only clue I could find was Morn Chron 30.4.1825 Harvey v. Brancomb an action in the Court of Common Pleas for criminal conversation with Harvey's wife. The name Branscomb was a bit more frequent and there was a John Branscomb will PCC 17.4.1815 one of the proprietors of the Royal Circus or Surrey theatre and of a coffee house nearby, he also designed machinery and sets for the theatre (Morn Chron 11.4.1815). There was also James Branscomb, in early life a servant to the Earl of Gainsborough, who became a stockbroker and partner in the "Lucky" lottery offices at 11 Holborn, 37 Cornhill, 38 Haymarket and 269 Strand. He was sheriff of London in 1806 and knighted in 1807. His obituary Morn Post 13.12.1809. His widow Sarah was bankrupt by 1815 and died in 1847 (Jackson's Oxford Journal 24.12.1847).
