My entry for Godwin, Harriet explains the story behind William Godwin needing Langridge's professional assistance, if you go the Godwin diary website and look at the transcription for 24 Feb to 27 Feb 1804 there are several Lewes surnames involved, including Langridge's partner Christopher Kell
