JOSEPH LITTLEDALE 1767-1842
CURRENT TEXT "Mary, daughter of Isaac"
SUGGESTED CHANGE <Sarah, daughter of Isaac>
NOTES According to Burke's Family Records, Joseph Littledale's mother was Sarah, daughter of John Wilkinson of Whitehaven and the name Sarah is confirmed by her will PCC 1807. Her death was reported Morning Post 21.5.1807. (see also Mary Littledale widow of Whitehaven PCC 1822 and Elinor Littledale widow of Whitehaven PCC 1786) I was also going to add details of Littledale's wife but I see I've been beaten to it! He married on 26th February 1821 at St Pancras Hannah Timberlake of St David's Exeter. She died 15.12.1857 (Trewmans Exeter Flying Post 31.12.1857) her will PCC 1858
Jan 2015 the DNB has adopted my suggested change and credited my website in the sources. I note that I haven't included any evidence for her father having been Isaac rather than John as per Burke's but I think from memory that I confirmed Isaac as correct
