Since Godwin began the day of 8.8.1800 seeing St Cavan's Bed at Glendalough nr Wicklow and then returned to the Dublin area it seems unlikely that he went back to Carlow to dine (and this is confirmed by his letter Bodleian Abinger c6 f36v) so the Burne's of 8.8.1800 was probably a different venue from that of 4.8.1800 even if Burne was the same person. Byrne was a commoner name in Ireland than Burne, I'm not sure how differently they were pronounced. Among the 36 wanted persons in the rebel band of Michael Dwyer DNB 1772-1825 (Dublin Evening Post 19.7.1800) were no less than 7 Byrnes and one Burne. They were at large somewhere in the mountains south-west of Dublin, being "sheltered by disaffected persons".
