Entry of 22.12.1828 was perhaps John Brooks wholesale stationer 421 Oxford St 1812-1838.  Entry of 15.7.1818 was perhaps Brookes, Son & Dixon bankers 25 Chancery Lane, 1818 (1810 Dawson, Brooks, Son & Dixon, 1828-41 Dixon, Son & Brooks). From a case of forgery by a 13 year old errand boy at the Old Bailey on 20.4.1814 the bankers were George and John Brooks (George Brook(e)s will perhaps PCC 1832 of Leicester Square or PCC 1817 of Twickenham / John Dixon banker of Chancery Lane will PCC 1844 / Francis Henry Brooks of Chancery Lane will PCC 1857). For the entry of 22.1.1805 possible PCC wills (Caleb Brooks 1808 coal merchant St Marylebone / Charles Brooks 1809 St Clement Danes / Charles James Brooks 1822 stationer 35 Henry St Pentonville / Charles Thomas Brooks 1823 linendraper St Marylebone / Cordell Brooks 1842 Boulogne). The four entries of 1832 to 1835 were probably plurals of Brooke (qv)
