The GD website discusses the coding of LK in its editorial notes for the person record of Leonora Knapp, suggesting that apart from one entry on 29.5.1830, Leonora Knapp didn't appear in Godwin's diary after 1815, with which I agree. However there are many LK entries after 1815 coded to Leonora Knapp and they should all be transferred to Louisa Holcroft/ (Kenney) nee Mercier. In the period between Louisa Holcroft's marriage to Kenney in March 1812 and the end of 1815 Godwin gradually shifted his use of LK from Knapp to Kenney. Two of those entries I think GD website has coded wrongly. 27.10.1812 LK calls & dines. This was before Godwin had used LK for Louisa Kenney, nor did Louisa Kenney call on the Godwins otherwise after her marriage till 20.7.1813 so I think this should be transferred to L Knapp who had often called on Godwin. 2.10.1814 dine at L K's can be identified as Louisa Kenney by the arrival of two of her sisters F(anny) H(olcrof)t and Dowlings (see Mercier, Elizabeth) and should be transferred to her from Leonora Knapp.
Leonora Knapp was the youngest daughter of Primatt Knapp, rector of Shenley will PCC 1794, his wife had died 1789. Their sons Nathaniel Matthew bapt 1760 will PCC 1795, Primatt bapt 1764 will PCC 1838, John Leonard bapt 1761 will PCC 1845, William bapt 1773. Their eldest dau died Clifton 1818, Mary bapt 1770 married John Pearce attorney of London in 1795, Leonora bapt 1774 died 1851 Bath. Leonora's addresses were 3 Camden Pl, Kentish Town 1805, 17 Percy St Rathbone Pl 1814, 8 Seymour St, Walcot Bath (1851 census). Letter from her to Godwin of 10.12.1805 in Bodleian Abinger c9 f53
