According to an Ancestry user-submitted tree his father was Thomas Wright 1735-1806 and his mother was Anne nee Walston. He married as bach otp = St Michael Wood St 20.2.1785 Harriet Knight of Brigstock, Northants sp. Their son Henry (Alum Ox 1804 age 18) son of John of Brigstock Northants, BA 1816, curate Maisemore Glos 1823, vicar Winkleigh, Devon, 1829 Gents Mag 1856 i 659 died 12.4.1856 age 69. Their dau Harriet bapt 16.6.1789 St Lawrence Jewry. John Wright's will dated 15.11.1789 was proved PCC 25.5.1792 by his widow Harriet and again on 25.5.1798 by his widow now Harriet wife of Thomas Pratt, the will mentioned Job and Tom who were appparently his two youngest brothers Job 1775-1855 who married in 1811 Dorothy Grayson and Thomas 1777-1853 who married in 1809 in Russia Natalia Bestuschaff. He referred to his hosiery trade, the twilled and knotted trade, and the Boston trade, the trade of his father and Mrs William Wright (his uncle(?) William Wright of Derby will PCC 1788) and Samuel Wright (his uncle will PCC 1827 of Derby), a renewable partnership with W Wilkinson, and his friends J Bentley (?) of London, K Boot of Boston (New England), Kirk Bookt or Boot of London, William Pratt of Boston, and John Horrocks of Derby
