Robert Manning was apprenticed 1755 for 7 yrs to Daniel Wise citizen & draper of London, premium £210. A Robert Manning of Fleet St hosier went bahkrupt in 1765 but that was probably not him. Robert Manning citizen & draper had an apprentice Christopher Fraily turned over to him 2.12.1766 after his master James Browne citizen & carpenter died., and in 1771 Robert Manning sugar refiner of St Mary Mag Old Fish St took appr John son of Christopher Fraley. In 1777 the Royal College of Physicians leased the Kings Head Tavern on Lambeth Hill to Robert Manning & Christopher Fraley sugar refiners. Robert Manning was on the Revolution Socy committee in 1788. He gave £42 to Hackney College 1788. His will PCC 2.11.1814 dated 2.6.1814 of St Thomas Square, St John Hackney, past Master of Drapers Coy, mentioned his eldest dau Ann Elizabeth wife of Archibald Christie broker of Harp Lane, and his dau Elizabeth Anne wife of Moses La Porte Merac broker of St Dunstans Hill Tower St
