9.5.1795 Moody first mentioned in LCS records (Thale p251), as one of the oldest members of LCS (p357) as delegate of Div 27 (p258) elected to Executive Committee (p259) resigned from it 4.9.1795 (p302).

J Ann Hone, For the Cause of Truth p63, reckoned Moody was a spy signing himself "Notary" whose letters can be seen online via Nat Arch at HO 42/78 folios 59, 146-151, 246-8, 262-3, 291-2, 294-6 (wrong folio nos are given in Nat Arch catalogue) also at PC 1/3117 and PC 1/3583 (not digitised or indexed) which I haven't searched. These letters seem to date from 1803 and 1804. See my entry for Moody, John in Godwin Diary dataset, an actor and a different person from the bootmaker. Hone says Moody was part of Tooke's Westminster election committee in 1796 and a trusted member of the Wimbledon circle till his death, which fits with the mentions of Wills and Burdett in the will of the bootmaker, see below.
