8.10.1794 Gregory at Bird's, 9.10.1794 & 10.10.1794 at Johnson's.

Probably one of the four sons of Arthur Gregory of Stivichall (matric Univ Coll Oxford 1733 age 17, will PCC 1792) Gentleman Usher to King, Lt Col of Warwickshire Militia (London Chronicle 25.10.1791) who took part in the Warwick meeting against dissenters January 1790. His eldest son by his first wife Mary (nee Bowater, married 1739) was Arthur William; by his 2nd wife Ann (will PCC 1806) he had three more sons,  Francis (of Baker Street 1796, will PCC 1833), Arthur Thomas and Robert, and four daughters Ann, Mary, Frances and Lucy. Robert was the only son who went to university (Oriel, Oxford 1790 age 18) his will PCC 1798 mentions his wife Hannah

20.8.1796 Robert Gregory captain East Indies army. Arthur senior is mentioned as Col Gregory in R A Johnson's letters to his sister Barbara (Bodl Ms Don - see Johnson, Robert Augustus)
