Strong indications of a medical person, association with Anthony Carlisle DNB 1768-1840 , & Langslow (qv - though that is not a definite identification), the pattern of calls by Godwin changing to calls on Godwin, as with Ash (qv) whose calls were largely after Alexander's calls ceased. Also the later Dr Alexander in 1835. See work notes below for possible doctors and surgeons. Alexander of Yarmouth - will PCC 1797 of Samuel Alexander gent of Gt Yarmouth, Daniel Asher Alexander DNB 1768-1846 lived in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight but according to DNB not till 1826.
