HENRY ROBERT MORLAND (1716x19-1797)
CURRENT TEXT "(1716x19-1797), painter and engraver, the son of the genre painter George Henry Morland (d.1789) of St James's Square, London, was born on 6 October 1716 or in 1718 or 1719. Although his existence was doubted by Martin Davies (p.101), an entry for George Henry Morland is included in Ellis Waterhouse's British Eighteenth Century Painters in Oils and Crayons (p.247). Joseph Farington recorded on 15 June 1795 that Morland was seventy-six years old (Farington, Diary, 2.353)."

Dibdin, Charles

Submitted by edpope on

CHARLES DIBDIN (1745-1814)

At about this time Dibdin transferred his affection to Anne Maria Wylde (1757-1835), of Portsea, possibly a relative of the prompter James Wild, and quickly married her. They had at least one daughter, Anne (bap.1776)."
