AMENDMENTS TO OXFORD DNB: Thomas Macklin (1752/3-1800) suggest omit "may have been the son of 'the Reverend Garrard Macklin of the Kingdom of Ireland' mentioned in the will of Thomas Wilson, prebendary of Westminster, from whom Thomas Macklin inherited considerable property in 1784." Thomas Macklin who inherited half of Thomas Wilson's estates in the Wirral was a different person who changed his name (as requested by the will) to Thomas Wilson, his will was PCC 1798 Thomas Wilson of Derby. A-Z of Entries
Montagu, Basil
The DNB entry for Basil Montagu is in error about the date Montagu married his 2nd wife, Laura Rush, which was at Glasgow on 6.9.1801. His 3rd wife was clearly the one in entries after 1806, she was famous as Thomas and Jane Carlyle's 'noble lady'.
Although Montagu first appeared in Godwin's 1796 list for 1795, the entry for 6.12.1794 was only a 'see' so may have been him.
The B M on f 46r of Vol VII of Godwin's diary before the 1796 list is surely him, see Montague, Sidney

HENRY ROBERT MORLAND (1716x19-1797)
CURRENT TEXT "(1716x19-1797), painter and engraver, the son of the genre painter George Henry Morland (d.1789) of St James's Square, London, was born on 6 October 1716 or in 1718 or 1719. Although his existence was doubted by Martin Davies (p.101), an entry for George Henry Morland is included in Ellis Waterhouse's British Eighteenth Century Painters in Oils and Crayons (p.247). Joseph Farington recorded on 15 June 1795 that Morland was seventy-six years old (Farington, Diary, 2.353)."
