There are many later (post 1795) Davison entries, and in the Godwin Diary website these have mostly been coded to Thomas Davison printer, which seems probable. This one seems unlikely to be the printer, and Davisons were plentiful in London at this time, so there is little to go on unless some connection to Fenwick could be found. Martin Davy DNB 1763-1839. He was a friend of Dr Samuel Parr's, became Doctor of Medicine in 1797, and was said to have been a religious sceptic though he later became a clergyman. He was abroad in Europe as tutor to Lord Ossulston for two years, perhaps at the time of the first entry above, but I haven't looked closely enough to identify the dates of that tour. MD was perhaps Mary Margaret Dawe 1785-1871 in Philip Dawe DNB 1745?-1809?. The twenty year old may have been formally or informally looking after or hanging out with Fanny aged 11and Charles aged 10, two of the children in Godwin's household

George Days married Catherine Povey at St James Piccadilly 11.12.1787 by archbishop's licence (wits J Days, Sarah Days). Catherine must have been the sister or other close relative of Elizabeth Povey who married Joseph Clayton Jennings in 1790. In his will PCC (proved 21.11.1807 by Andrew Smith, surgeon of HMS Reynard) George Days surgeon of 5th W India regt left all to his daughter Elizabeth Dayes of 11 Plumpton Row Brompton. Very likely Peter DeWint DNB 1784-1849, as his good friend William Hilton DNB 1786-1839 had been recently calling on Godwin. GD website has a person record for Hilton and is not fully sure of the identification, but De Vint strengthens it. Hilton had called on Godwin the night before, and called again two days later

Very likely John Deck bookseller of Bury St Edmunds from 1802 to 1855 (bbti). The five write to entries were in a list of letters to booksellers not in London. The call was not surprising as Bury is not so far from London
