Richard Toulmin North baptised 13.3.1782 Kirby Lonsdale, Lancs son of Miles & Susanna North. His mother married Miles North in 1778 and married 2ndly in 1799 the older brother of Frederick Reynolds DNB 1764-1841 (see Reynolds, Richard). He inherited the Manor of Tunstal and became a JP for West Yorks and a Major in the militia. A sad, or amusing account of his later "lunacy" can be found in the Morning Post of 27.2.1847. He was dead by 1866
