Quite likely Charles O'Hara 1746-1822 M P for Sligoshire from 1801. In 1811 his London address was Limmer's Hotel, Conduit-st. He had certainly been at Westminster on 24.5.1808 (see History of Parliament). He was rather nervously in opposition to the government

Probably Charles Adolphus Quist, 1729-1821 Lt. Col attached to the Riding House department of the Royal Artillery, Woolwich, died unmarried. Charles Quist son of Count Adolphus Quist of Sweden, naturalised 1775. Was he displaying riding skills at age 79? The main attraction at Pidcock's Royal Menagerie, Exeter Change, Strand was the female kangaroo with her young hopping in and out of her pouch

G J Andrews 13 King-st Holborn / John Andrews 14 Greek-st Soho / John Goldwyer Andrews, So'ton-row, Bloomsbury (his will PCC 1849) / Mr Andrews Prospect Row, Brompton, died 1809, had been with Capt Cook round the globe. These were all surgeons in London around 1808

Francois Isidore Le Roy 1742-1811 Comte de Barde fled to England 1792. His eldest son, Armand Nicholas Le Roy 1772-1845, Comte de Barde, page of Louis XVI, married 1.7.1806 Marylebone to Adèle de Sainte-Hermine. One of the witnesses was the Duc de Coigny 1737-1821. Perhaps Knowles had some gossip about them?

This was Dr Thomas Morgan librarian of Dr Williams Library, originally in Red Cross Street. From the brackets it seems W Twiss was someone Godwin was researching and the only candidate I found was William Twiss DNB 1744/5-1827 military engineer but I have no idea why Godwin would be interested in him and he doesn't seem to have written any books. Godwin may have been enquiring about someone in the Dissenters' Register of births
