In GD website coded to Rev Samuel Newton but since Godwin was in London more probably John Frank Newton.

Harriet Collins married Chastel de Boinville in 1793 and her sister Cornelia Collins married John Frank Newton in 1799. Cornelia Boinville was born 1795 and John Collins de Boinville in 1797. I read that Chastel died fighting with the French in Russia in 1813 but I haven't confirmed this, nor found when Harriet Boinville died. 5.3.1791 Nichols at B Hollis has been coded in GD website to John Nichols of the Gentleman's Magazine but the 1796 list (and the 1794 version) had Nichols MP early in 1791 so this would have to have been John Nicholls 1745-1832 (History of Parliament) a signatory to the Friends of the People 11.4.1792. 1786 subscribers to HMWilliams' poems Rev Norton Nicholls, Mrs Nicholls. As the Rev Norton Nicholls DNB -1807 never married this may have been his mother Jane nee Floyer. Might also have been his cousin Philippa Nicholls baptised 5.12.80 Tickhill, Yorks mentioned (in Hester Piozzi? or Joanna Baillie? letters online - sorry lost this ref) as recovering at Hot Wells 1795 died unmarried 1797

Coded in GD website to William Nicholson DNB 1753-1815 which may well be correct but in that case what did P H stand for? Godwin may have used PH to distinguish this person from his usual Nicholson. I wondered if P H stood for Political Herald this could have been a former colleague of Godwin's

2.3.1789 Nicol & Potts at Robinson's / 9.3.1789 same pair at Hamilton's. In 1794 version of Godwin's 1796 list, Nicol near end of 1787, left out of 1796 version.

George Nicol DNB 1740-1828 bookseller and James Potts (R Pollard, Dublin Book Trade 1733-96) seem a likely pair to have been dining with these publishers (and see Jenkins, Caleb)

Alfred Nicolson dines 19.6.1803

This may well have been the 15 year old son of Francis Nicholson 1753-1844 painter who was living in Somers Town by 1803. Alfred's dates were 1788-1833, he served in the Navy before working as a painter. See Nicholson, Catherine for A Nicholson entries that could have been him, though probably not. Also some plain Nicholson entries could have been his father Francis rather than Godwin's close friend William Nicholson, but I haven't noticed any that look like they might have been. I don't think there was any Alfred in William Nicholson's family.

May have been a stage name (as Godwin was apparently trying to communicate with theatre manager Richard Wroughton) but I could find no reference to it anywhere

Quite likely Robert Nixon 1759-1837, curate of Foots Cray 1784-1804 in John Colley Nixon DNB pre 1759-1818. He exhibited at Royal Academy and was said to have talent-spotted Joseph Mallord William Turner DNB 1775-1861. He died at Kenmure Castle, New Galloway
