Probably John Richardson (DNB 1740/41-1795). His friend William Jones (DNB 1746-1794) had been elected an honorary member of the SCI on 26.4.1782. Although DNB says he was called to the bar in 1781, he didn't appear in Law List until 1789 and 1790 in the list of counsel with the address Harcourt Bldgs, Inner Temple, and not in the list for 1792, which is cosistent with his going to India.
