La Chaussee had to show Thomas Pelham 2nd Earl of Chichester how to load a mortar 13.8.1797. Not in British Army Lists. Probably Charles de la Chaussee, Seigneur de St Aubin (Dictionnaire de la Noblesse Francaise)

Landaff 29.12.1799 at Lanesborough's

The GD website has coded this to Richard Watson the Bishop of Llandaff but I think more likely it was Francis Mathew, ist Earl of Llandaff (Dict irish Biography 1738-1806). His son Francis James (Viscount Matthew) had married 10.7.1797 Gertrude La Touche,acousin of Elizabeth LaTouche who had married 17.1.1781 Robert Herbert Butler, 3rd earl of Lanesborough and Lady Lanesborough's eldest son

I think all the above entries referred to John King's wife the Countess of Lanesborough. Another possibility would be her son by her first marriage Lord Lanesborough, but I think that unlikely. At the two dinners at Lanesborough's at least half the guests also appeared at King's dinners. Covered by event tag on 25.7.1800 in GD website but not coded to a person record. The action which Godwin attended (according to the Dublin Evening  Post of 5.8.1800) was in fact Lattin v Milliken, the printer of Duigenan's pamphlet, at the Court of Exchequer and damages of sixpence and costs of sixpence were awarded by the jury


Lawless

miss Lawless's 8.8.1800 at Burne's / 6.5.1825 Lawless calls

Valentine Lawless (Lord Cloncurry) DNB 1773-1853, who was imprisoned at this time, in 1800 had two unmarried sisters, and one sister married to Thomas Whaley (see Whaley) who was also present at this dinner. Valetina Letitia was to marry in Merrion Row June 1801 the Hon Francis Nathaniel Burton, and Charlotte Louisa married Edward Plunkett 4th Baron Dunsany in 1803. John Lawless DNB c1773-1837 Irish nationalist was one of 21 children so probably had some sisters too. A Mary Lawless travelled to France with Lady Mountcashell…

Edward Ledwich DNB 1739-1823 lived mostly in Ireland but joined Whig Club 1.3.1791 of Gerrard Street (i.e. gave a London address) and was Fellow of Society of Antiquaries like Northmore
